Everything was soooo goood. We got the mini tacos and quesadillas and elote and it was all bomb.

I hired Casita Ruby to cater for my sons graduation party in Cali because of her Birria Tacos. When I first tried them I knew I had to have more. If your looking for the best Birria or any type of Mexican food, Casita Ruby's is where to go. Her food is delicious. You can taste all the love she puts into her food.

Found this little gem of a place off Nameless Road. They are only open Fri-Sun, we went for Cinco de Mayo. It's a cute outdoor place almost like someone's backyard. The ladies working this truck were super nice. Here is what we ordered : Raspberry Mango Fresca - refreshing drink, not too sweet or watered down. Birria taco - this plate comes with 3 tacos, lettuce, cucumber and radish. The juice was flavorful. Will for sure get it again when we go back Mini taco - Carne Asada & Pastor - these are the street taco sizes, they were both good. Our favorite was for sure the Birria taco.

So delicious, great service, cute eating area (i took mine to go because it was my first time and didn't know they had seating, but will deff be eating there in the future).

Casita Ruby is by far the best Mexican food in Texas. Nothing can compare to their quality of service, attention to detail, and of course, the deliciousness of the food. Ruby, the mastermind behind the whole operation, is a truly excellent culinarian. She is committed and passionate about providing customers with thoughtful and well-portioned plates that are absolutely superb. Yolanda is also a joy to be around and delivers wonderful customer service. Casita Ruby is always going to be a staple for my visits to Austin, no matter what!

Tucked away in the west side of Leander on Hero Road is a Food Trailer just off the path known as "Casita Ruby". Now all you followers know that I've been on a search for authentic Mexican food. Not Tex-Mex, but across the border style Mexican Food. "Baja", "Sonora", "Jalisco" or even "Juarez" style is even fine. This place is quite unique. Let's start with the Service. Service - Immediately greated by the staff here. They explained their food and prices. Nothing but smiling faces, with that "glad to see you here" feeling. Food - Ok, I definitely have to add them to my list of favorite Mexican Food choices. There are a lot of meat choices. Carnitas, Carne Asada, Chicken, Grilled Beef, Fajita and Pastor Beef. The Taco plate comes with 5 street Tacos (the little ones) $11. I choose 2 Carnitas, 2 Pastor and 1 Asada. The quality of the meat was nothing short of amazing. Nice size portions for a taco and the diced pineapple on the Pastor taco was perfect for that sweet accent. My wife had 3 regular size tacos, 1Beef Fajita taco, 1 Carne Asada and a Pastor taco. She also agreed the taste was amazing. Now on the taco plate I received some cucumber slices and a wedge of lime. she hinted she would have like that with her taco also. (Hint!) Three salsa choices, all accent the food well. Refreshments - My wife tried the "Papaya with Dragon Fruit" Agua Fresco - $4. Great fresh squeezed flavor with small chunks of papaya and dragon fruit. Price - Total came to about $27.00. May seem a little pricy for tacos, but the quality was certainty there. This will be an intentional drive out on Tuesdays for the taco special. 5 Mini tacos for $10. The business is a bit hidden from the road, so look for the signs and vertical banner showing "Food Truck" just before the gravel driveway. Can't miss it after you're there. Tip - Bring cash and some insect repellant. We visited on 7/2/2021, right after the rains and the bugs were out in force. I've found, due to their remote set up, a lot of food trucks and trailers suffer from WIFI issues for their payment systems. So bring some cash just in case. Unbelievably delicious! First time here tonight and wow- food and people were truly phenomenal. Everything was fresh and had a lot of flavor. We will definitely be regulars here!

Oh my! I cannot say enough about how good the chicken tacos with grilled onions are. You will not be disappointed. The al pastor, carne asada and beef fajita were also very good, but my heart belongs to the chicken tacos. We also tried the strawberries and cream agua Fresca and that was stupendous!!! The people are also amazingly friendly and patient. Overall, very pleased and we will definitely be going back.
